Topic: Does Minolta Rokkor 58mm f1.2 fit on Conon 6D

Hello,

I want to upgrade from my 5D mk 1 to the new Canon 6D. Can you tell me if I can use my shaved Minolta 58mm Rokkor f1.2 on the 6D with infinity or is there a problem with the mirror. On my old 5D it works fine.

Early reports of the 6D is that mirror collisions are much less of a problem than with 5D.

Based on this, and the fact that your Rokkor 58/1.2 can clear a 5D mirror at infinity (you are quite lucky! - I had to shave my mirror) I would say that the odds are very high that the 6D mirror will clear an appropriately shaved Rokkor 58/1.2.

Did you finally tried? I'd like to know. I had similar problems with a 5D Mark II and a SuperTakumar 50 1.4 and now I only use it with my mirrorless or with the bellows...

Wouldn't it be easier to use a lens designed for digital??? never understood the craze for analog lenses unless you use analog cameras.
