Topic: SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4 vs. Mamiya-Sekor 55mm f1.4 m42 mounts

Today, Saturday, is sunless and the rain had recently stopped.  The lighting conditions were good for some highly saturated photos of anything red to check for purple fringing.  I waited for such conditions to shoot roll upon roll of 35mm direct positive film such as the Kodak and Fuji chromes.   One of my wife's roses was a good candidate.  The camera is a Canon 550D at 800 ASA in manual and landscape modes.  The crop factor made the lenses 80 & 89mm respectively.  All images ware at f4.0.
Many lenses have trouble passing red without some fringing.  As it turned out both of these did a respectable job.
These JPEGs are right from the camera without any further processing.
