Topic: weed?

Can anyone identify this plant/weed? The pod is under 10mm long & 5mm wide? it bloomed about 6 years ago & again this year?
Thanks
Jim

Forgot to add that these quick shots were taken by a Tokina 35~105mm close focus, with a bit of patience this lens could do a lot better... f9'ish 250sec ISO 100.

Thank you Peter... I've tried identifying them on the net but to no avail, I'm probably looking in the wrong places/countries?
I have to apologize to all... I really did get mixed up the other day. I did try & compare both lenses but then thought Harold was doing an excellent job of showing the Kiron's ability... so I tried using it with the Vivitar x2TC -21 doubler... the enlarged shot of the unidentified pods was taken with the combination... the pods measure under 10mm long & are around 5mm across, the stamen are minute... I've re-shown it below?

Re: weed?

The pink flowers are Erica Tetralix  (cross-leaved heath), a plant you can find in the moor.
The blue flowers are unknown to me.

Thank you Minolfan... I like it, hopefully it'll bloom every year.  cool

Re: weed?

The weather has been so atrocious up here in the N E Scotland that this is one of the very, very, few bee's I've seen... or any other insect for that matter, especially hover flies, I've seen less than half a dozen?
I was using the B&H 300mm for ease of use, hand held shot... not as sharp as the kiron Harold, but I don't think it's that bad considering I had to follow it around most of the pods... busy as a bee indeed.

A wee' early bee "yes, early bee" lol

Jim,

Not pods but flowers. Cross-leaved Heath Erica tetralix or a cultivar thereof. Likes boggy conditions. The rain may have teased it out.

Good shots.

Harold

Our bumbles are right down this year. Pollination was almost non-existent and our pear trees, and some apple trees have no fruit. There have been quite a few solitary bees and now we are getting diversity of pollinators.

Re: weed?

I have given up with the blue flower. Its appearance suggests it is from a bulb and may be a crocus relative. I am not convinced.
