Topic: Laowa 15mm Macro Shift on Sony A7R

This is my latest toy. It does 1:1 macro and offers about 110 degrees FOV. It is very tricky to use an that very close approach to the subject is required at 1:1. Getting lighting around the lens is also problematic.

Here are some of my first (twin TTL flash) images (f22), in backgrounds chosen to show the DOF, rather than to be pretty.

NB The perspective greatly exaggerates the apparent size of the flower.

Thanks. The general morphology is of Pleione orchids and quite a few have a similar colour scheme. This is a species, not a hybrid, but a pink version of the species. The flower is extra large but not a big as it seems in the images.

It 's not usual to see a macro picture with a large field of view + a large depth of focud  and , not the least , a beautiful image .

I am a Pentacon and kiev( MF and35 mm) user, and also :contaxII,III,IIa  ,contaflex , contarex bullseye ,voigtlander ....

I was inspired by the work of John Brackenbury:

The last image is anyhow surreal.

The light accents are set great.
