Topic: New (old) lenses

I acquired these lenses this week... still to be tried out.
left to right.
Kiron 'Kino precision' 70~150mm macro
Ozeck 28mm  1:10 macro
Koboron 28~105mm macro
That's the Tora in the background... shown already, just using it to prop up the other lenses... lol

Please  excuse the photo... just a quick point & shoot before my wife came in... lol

7D Tokina 35~105mm close focus lens 1/60sec ISO 800 (I think this is a cracker of a lens... anyone got one?).

More lenses, Jim. How many do you have in your collection?

No idea, the cupboard is full so I'm mainly going for smaller lenses now.  I do give a lot away if I don't like them or they're in poor condition & rarely buy any costing over £10 delivered... it's fun finding the odd wee' gem, which I think I've just done with a Tamron 28mm Adapt-A-Matic (£6.50)... we'll see when it gets here, if the glass is half as good as the 300mm I have I'll be happy chappy.  wink

Re: New (old) lenses

The 70-150 is a lens I used a lot before I got my 105mm.

On digital, beware of diffuse internal reflections, overcome with a suitable TC behind it.

Thanks for the info Harold... I thought I had the 105mm, finally found it in the repair box - I'm not sure why but I'll check it out later??

If you have you should not only hang onto it but use it. Well worth having most repairs done (check for sticking blades). It beats my Tamron 2.5 and my Leitz Elmarit 60mm (just). It is my goto lens for macro down to 1:2 and am happy to use it at higher mags when I cannot use my specialist lenses.  It works well with its matched TCs
