Topic: Large Rocks in Haut (High ) Languedoc
This part of Southern France is situated West of the Rhone river . It 's a plateau at around 1000m above sea level , 50 km North of the Mediterranean sea . The weather , there , is very different of the sea shore ; it' s a lot colder and wetter ; villages and populations are scarce by European standard : if you go there , you'll feel as if you had taken a trip back in time !
We were in Salvetat sur Agout ( in the Parc Regionale du Haut Languedoc ) last week , but I had forgotten my camera .Somebody lent me a small Canon digital camera ( everything was automatic , I had just to adjust the 5X zoom and depress the trigger ) .
On the Western part of this plateau , the country is named "Le Sidobre" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sidobre . I had never heard of it until last week : it' worth the visit ! :
