Discuss how to buy, fix, clean, and use all the old manual focus photography kit you can find. M42, Pentacon 6, Contax, Leica, Canon, Nikkor, Carl Zeiss Jena, Asahi Pentax Takumars etc! |

I don't know the specific lens, but I do have a Cosina 24/2.8 and it's below par. Most Cosinas are okay, but not really good. There are some exceptions, but unless you know for a fact that this lens is one of them, better not to buy it. There are many better choices in the same price range. Try to find one of these:
Vivitar 28/2.5
Sigma Super-wide II 28/2.8
Tokina RMC 28/2.8
These are all very good. There are even better choices out there, but the price takes a pretty good leap.

And that's why we are talking about the lens right now ![]()
I know about the others, just found the Cosina locally and wondered if it is worth it.
Thanks!
That's yet another issue -- the price is way too high. This is a lens that might fetch $10 on ebay.

You can check the exif too
(the lens ia a KA mount one so the camera can know the aperture used by the photograph).

Thanks for the links, montecarlo. Useful, being able to check the aperture in the exif data; I'd love to have it avaliable on my eos!
Seems like my google skills were a bit off the other day ![]()
I have this lens. It's easily the worst of my 28mm's. Worth about 10 euros in my honest opinion. My Zuiko 28/2.8 is much better.
