Re: MIRANDA 28MM 2.8 any good?

I had one of these in M42 a while back (I think I gave to my brother 5+ years ago with the rest of my M42 stuff). As far as I remember it was o.k. when it was stopped down to f5.6 or so.

Re: MIRANDA 28MM 2.8 any good?

Because there are some Miranda cameras made by Cosina might be that some 28mm Miranda labeled lenses are made by Cosina too. You might search for some Cosina 28mm lens (pictures of them) and compare them with the one you own.
I had a Cosina made Vivitar 28mm f:2.8 lens with KA Pentax bayonet mount and it was pretty good.

The Vivitar's body is made of plastic and only the mount and aperture ring is made of metal (I don't know the interior).

Is the Chinon better or worse than the Cosina?
